About WattCruncher

WattCruncher publishes free, easy-to-use calculators for home energy, electric vehicles, and solar. Our goal is simple: help people answer real money questions about energy — what's driving the electric bill, what it costs to charge an EV, whether solar makes sense — with transparent math and no sales pressure.

What we believe

Energy decisions shouldn't require a spreadsheet or a sales call. Every tool on this site uses a clear, published formula and sensible, up-to-date default values that you can change to match your own bill and local rates. We show the assumptions, not just the answer. There are no sign-up walls and no gated results — the calculators are free to everyone.

How we're funded

WattCruncher is supported by advertising and, on some pages, referral partnerships (for example, connecting readers who want solar quotes with installers). This lets us keep the tools free. Advertising and referrals never change the math a calculator produces — the numbers are the numbers. Where a page contains a paid or referral link, we disclose it. See our Disclaimer for details.

Accuracy & honesty

Our calculators produce good-faith estimates for planning and general information. They are not professional financial, tax, or engineering advice, and real-world results vary with your specific rates, equipment, and location. We work to keep default figures current and formulas correct, and we welcome corrections.

Who runs it

WattCruncher is operated by Bills Square LLC. Questions, corrections, or tool suggestions are always welcome — reach us through our Contact page.
